Art fairs are certainly the highlight of the art scene in any country. For art enthusiasts, it is nothing less than a festival – a place where a variety of people with a shared interest can come together to share and appreciate art.
Like the previous year, 2024 again looks promising in terms of exhilarating art events. Here are a few you should watch out for.
Frieze Los Angeles
Perhaps the biggest art event of this spring, Frieze LA returns for its 5th iteration at the Santa Monica airport. The mega art fair has announced 95 participants, including all major mega galleries. It will open on February 29th and run until March 3rd.
Art Dubai
The biggest art fair in the Middle East will be returning for its 17th edition at Madinat Jumeirah. It is set to represent over 100 galleries from 40 countries. This year’s theme revolves around expanding the “global South” beyond traditional borders. Preview will open on February 28th while the event will run till March 3rd.
Art Basel Hong Kong
At the Hong Kong Convention Centre, Art Basel Hong Kong – the premier art fair in Southeast Asia – will feature the 2024 edition. An impressive 242 exhibitors are set to participate in the event, which will run from March 26th through March 30th.
Expo Chicago
After being acquired by Frieze last year, Expo Chicago will certainly have eyes on it for this year’s edition. It will feature 170 galleries, most of them from Chicago itself. It will run between April 11 – April 14.
Art Brussels
The iconic Art Brussels fair will return for its 40th edition, from April 25th – April 28th. Being held at the Brussels Expo, it will feature 170 galleries, including both local, national and international exhibitors.

Armory Show
One of the most popular art fairs in the world, the Armory Show will return for its 4th edition at the Javits Center in New York. All eyes are on the yet-to-be-revealed exhibitors’ list, given its recent new ownership under Frieze. It will run from September 5th to September 8th.
