cerARTmic 2025: The Ceramic Art Fair Returns to Madrid

From June 5 to 8, 2025, cerARTmic brings together artists, galleries, and collectors for an unmissable celebration of ceramic art in the heart of Madrid.

After a successful debut in 2024, cerARTmic — Spain’s first contemporary art fair fully dedicated to ceramic art — returns to Madrid for its second edition.

The event takes place from June 5 to 8, 2025, once again inside the José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón Foundation, one of the city’s most prestigious cultural venues.

Sara Zaldivar, independent art advisor and founder of Huntress of Art, and Alejandra Arias, experienced cultural project manager, launched cerARTmic with the goal of spotlighting ceramics as a vital part of the contemporary art scene.

Together, they’ve built a platform where artists, galleries, and collectors can connect through a shared passion for ceramic innovation.

A key destination for collectors, curators, and ceramic art lovers

cerARTmic 2025 offers a unique chance to discover the most innovative ceramic artworks. Moreover, the fair acts as a dynamic meeting point for collectors, curators, artists, and design enthusiasts seeking out both emerging and established talent.

In its first edition, the fair welcomed nearly 4,000 visitors, featured 41 artists, and showcased work from 15 galleries, mostly from across Spain. Thanks to this momentum, cerARTmic now positions itself as a national landmark with clear potential for European growth.

This year, 14 top-tier Spanish galleries will participate, including Tönnheim Gallery (Madrid), Artenueve (Murcia), Galería Isabel Hurley (Málaga), and Jorge López Galería (Valencia), further strengthening the fair’s national footprint.

cerARTmic 2025 a rich cultural program: workshops, guided tours, and expert panels

Beyond the main exhibition, cerARTmic 2025 delivers a curated program that invites public participation. Across four days, visitors can:

  • Join ceramic workshops led by acclaimed artists
  • Explore Madrid through guided tours of the city’s most unique ceramic studios and shops
  • Take part in roundtable talks with curators, artists, and cultural leaders focused on topics such as innovation in Ceramic Art and Ceramics as a Contemporary Art Trend

These experiences create deeper engagement and highlight the role of ceramics in both contemporary culture and artistic experimentation.

Introducing the cerARTmic Awards 2025

A major highlight this year comes with the launch of the cerARTmic Awards, which aim to discover and promote new voices in ceramic art.

Winners will design the fair’s official trophy and showcase their work during the event. This initiative offers rising talents not only visibility, but also real opportunities to enter the broader art circuit.
