The 2027 edition of Artycapucines line of handbags at Louis Vuitton will open with an iconic one designed by artist Keith Haring.
Keith Haring created the work in 1984. Dubbed “Radiant Baby”, it featured a scrawled image of a falling baby on a Louis Vuitton bag. Since then, the work has become iconic and featured in numerous collection, including the look 17 at a cruise show presented as part of the Frick Collection. Now, Lousi Vuitton itself has embraced the work and turned it into an artistic collaboration.

The bag will be part of the Artycapucines range, a series which actively collaborates between the fashion giant and artists. The subset of 13 works, which includes Haring, will be first teased at the upcoming Art Basel Paris. The Keith Haring work will feature on a Louis Vuitton bag adorned with 12,000 diamonds. Two more of Haring’s works are featured on other bags. The bags will be available in select LV stores starting next month. From January 1, there will be an international rollout of the series.
Describing the Haring bag, LV said: “A symbol of birth, hope and the infinite potential of life, the motif elevated an already exceptional Louis Vuitton object into a singular work of art and a rare artifact of the 1980s New York cultural zeitgeist.”
