What have you learnt as a Fashion Model and Influencer over the years? What advice would you give to your younger self?
I have learned to put forth your whole heart into everything you do in this industry. There will always be someone else putting their all into what they do- so work as hard as you can.
You have worked with many powerhouse brands over the years including Reformation, Revolve, Frame and more. What brands are next on your bucket list?
I would love to be the face of a beauty brand I looked up to as a child. It would have a deep connection with me to be able to come full circle with a brand in that way.
What has been your biggest pinch me moment to date?
My biggest pinch me moment would have to be this past summer sitting at my first fashion in Venice, Italy. It was for my favorite fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent.
What has been your favorite modeling job to date and why?
My favorite jobs are always because of the team. When the photographer, makeup-up artist, hair-stylist, stylist, art director, and the entire crew have fun with the day and play good music and we all talk, dance and vibe throughout the day, those are my favorite days on set. I’m so grateful to be able to work with such talented artists and get to know them on a more personal level.

You have a substantial following of over 640,000 Instagram followers. Was there a turning point where your followers started to grow exponentially or was it gradual?
It was fairly gradual. I started noticing my following when I was about 16 in high school. I would say after I started splitting my time between Los Angeles and New York I noticed the biggest jump. It’s such a beautiful feeling knowing other people enjoy my art and I am beyond appreciative of the positive support I receive from others-it fuels me to create and share.
What 3 tips do you have for an aspiring Instagram Influencer?
My number one tip is to be authentic; it is the most refreshing thing to see someone else being themselves even on apps posed as a highlight reel. I also notice I follow someone immediately when I feel like I know them through their page, it feels heart-warming to feel a sense of connection to someone through the art they share. Lastly, I would say to not be afraid to unveil things about yourself. It’s so lovely to see someone I follow have similar interests to me or show me something I didn’t realize I would like.
What apps do you use to edit your photos?
Most of my photos are film. My boyfriend develops and scans them himself so I’m not using any cool apps to replicate the film. I suggest going to a flea market and buying a second-hand film camera and testing it out. It’s such a fun hobby.
What Social Media Platforms are you currently on?
I just have an Instagram @elyseesanville but may be starting a tiktok soon? Who knows?

What do you think are some top social media trends to watch in 2022?
Top trend for 2022? I think dressing up is going to be in style. I feel as though people are going to appreciate gowns, party dresses, statement coats, and suit sets and opt for dressing up instead of down.
How do you think Instagram has impacted the Fashion Modeling industry?
Instagram has helped bring so much needed inclusivity to the fashion industry. Race barriers are beginning to be knocked down, gender norms are being knocked down, and social media has fostered so many communities and pockets of love. We are nowhere near where we need to be regarding those issues but Instagram is helping us have a step in the right direction. I have found that so many models are able to be activists as well and help share more of their beliefs and bring awareness to more social, political, and environmental causes than ever before.

What is your current skincare routine?
My current skincare routine is cleanser, bha liquid exfoliant, moisturizer, and then sunscreen and for the evening I drop the sunscreen and a night serum and retinol before bed.
What 3 products can you not live without?
Sunscreen, Lip Balm, and Perfume.
