Spike Lee and HBCU Fellowship Program Partner With Ralph Lauren to Equip Students for Success

Ralph Lauren has embraced this initiative with enthusiasm, holding individual styling sessions for the inaugural cohort of Spike Fellows and providing a selection of professional attire from its esteemed collection. This gesture goes beyond mere clothing; it equips these aspiring filmmakers with the confidence and professional presence needed to thrive in their careers. The inaugural cohort of Spike Fellows, announced last May, has already reaped the benefits of this partnership. Following an eight-week paid fellowship at Gersh’s offices in New York and Los Angeles, all five participants have transitioned to full-time roles at the agency. This seamless move from fellowship to employment underscores the program’s effectiveness in bridging the gap between academic preparation and professional achievement.

Applications for the second cohort of Spike Fellows are currently open, targeting undergraduates from the Atlanta University Center Consortium, which includes Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Clark Atlanta University.
