NADA Announces 139 Exhibitors For 21st Miami Edition

The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) returns to Miami this year for its 21st edition, announcing the names of its 139 galleries and art organizations.

NADA is a not-for-profit collective of professionals working in contemporary art. It was founded in 2002 to serve as a collective of (mainly) young art professionals. The inaugural NADA Miami Beach exhibition was held in December 2003. Since then, NADA has hosted an annual fair in Miami every year without fail. In 2012, NADA added New York as its second annual fair.

This year, the fair will be held at the Ice Palace Studios in Miami. It will be held in December like always, running between December 5-9. Of the 139 exhibitors this year, 85 are already members of the NADA. 34 exhibitors are participating at NADA for the first time. More than a third of the exhibitors are from New York. Some of the names include Blue Velvet (Zurich), CARBON 12 (Dubai), Hesse Flatow (New York) and MICKEY (Chicago). First-time exhibitors include Madragoa and Hannah Traore Gallery.

The 21st edition would likely also shed light on NADA’s achievements over the year. These might include the new 1300-square-foot exhibition space they bought in New York, or the NADA Flea – the community art market. However, this year’s edition won’t be as big as last year for understandable reasons. Last year marked the 20th anniversary of the NADA Miami Beach exhibition, so the group decided to go grand. A record 146 galleries were invited to the fair.
