Right-wing Activist and Philanthropist, David H. Koch, dies at age of 79

You must have heard about the Billionaire Philanthropist as well as Right-wing Activist, David H. Koch. We have some grim news to report regarding David H. Koch. It has been reported that David H. Koch has passed away at the age of 79 and the news has been shared by none other than his older brother Charles. Charles Koch also happens to be the partner in business at Koch Industries and in many political initiatives.

While we don’t know the exact reason regarding his death as no statement was given, we that he fought prostate cancer in the past. Therefore, it could be a possible reason for his death but no such reports have been confirmed as yet. New York Times also reports that Kochs donated more than $100 million in right-wing and libertarian causes over many decades. They are also known to have created a donor network that facilitated contributions totalling far more than that.

David Koch also entered politics in 1980 when he ran unsuccessfully for vice president on the Libertarian Party ticket. Met’s CEO and President Daniel Weiss said in a statement, “David Koch was an unwavering supporter of our museum, reflected in his service as a trustee and his most generous philanthropic support. We are extremely grateful for his generosity and send our condolences to Julia and his entire family.”

Lincoln Centre, who were pledged $100 million by David Koch, also released a statement on his death. The statement reads, “David H. Koch’s exceptional generosity, genuine love of the performing arts, and deep respect for artists had an indelible impact on both Lincoln Center and the cultural life of New York City. We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, Julia, and his family.”
