We have seen that Art events are usually massive with a lot of exhibitions as well as a number of works on display. Now, we are getting to know that one such event is scheduled to take place in December this year. We are talking about the Art Basel Miami Beach event which will take place in the last month of the current year. According to a report, this event will feature 269 exhibitors as confirmed by Art Basel. Also, it is interesting to note that this year will mark the 18th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach.
There will be 20 new participants at this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach which include Barro Arte Contemporáneo from Buenos Aires, Mariane Ibrahim Gallery from Chicago, Parker Gallery from Los Angeles, Karma from New York, 10 Chancery Lane Gallery from Hong Kong, ROH Projects from Jakarta, and Magician Space from Beijing and others. Also, it is known that galleries from 33 different countries spread around 5 different continents will take part in the event. The event is scheduled to take place between December 5–8 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
In a statement, Noah Horowitz who is the Director Americas of Art Basel said that “I am particularly excited to welcome new galleries from more diverse parts of the U.S. and Canada. The strong roster of galleries from the Americas is complemented by cutting-edge galleries from across Europe and Asia.”
It is known that this year’s event will be divided into six sections: Galleries which is the main area of the fair, Positions, Nova, Survey, Edition, and Meridians which is a newly added section. It is also revealed that the Meridians section will be curated by the director of Museo Tamayo, Magalí Arriola. You can read about the full list of 269 exhibitors from here.
