For the upcoming Paris edition in October, Art Basel has announced the names of the 203 exhibitors across 3 events.
Art Basel Paris will open on October 22-23 for a VIP preview, followed by general access on October 24-26. The art fair will return to the same venue as last year – the Grand Palais, a historic site and museum complex. The event will feature 203 exhibitors from 40 countries and territories. This is much higher than last year, when Art Basel Paris saw 165 exhibitors from 42 countries.
Similar to last year, the event will feature three sections. The main Galeries section will feature 177 exhibitors and dealers. The Emergence section, for emerging artists, will feature 16 solo booths. The Premise section, which aims to showcase works challenging the art canon, will feature 10 presentations. There will also be the “Oh La La!” initiative, where exhibitors could rehang their booths. Additionally, the public exhibition of the fair will be held at Jardin des Tuileries; it was cancelled last year due to the Paris Olympics 2024.
The fair would witness most of the international icons like Hauser & Wirth, David Zwirner, Pace Gallery, Thaddeus Ropac, White Cube, and many others. There will be a significant presence of local dealers of Paris, including Balice Hertling, Galerie Chantal Crousel, and Air de Paris. This year’s edition would see nine galleries appearing at Art Basel for the first time, like New York’s 47 Canal and London’s The Approach.
